DNA Analyzer introduction

The Sanger Sequencing Method was proposed by Frederick Sanger in the mid-1970s and has been widely used since the "Human Genome Project", which has made outstanding contributions to deciphering the human genome. The Sanger sequencing method has a long read length (>800bp) and a high accuracy rate (99.99%), which is the "gold standard" in the sequencing industry and is still widely used today.


The gene analyzer produced by Superyears Gene is based on the principle of Sanger sequencing. Capillary electrophoresis is used to detect the products of genes amplified by PCR. The amplified products are correspondingly labeled with different fluorescence dyes. Due to the molecular size of each gene, the mobility of the genetic molecules is also different during electrophoresis. Therefore, the fluorescence-labeled products that pass through the detection window in their respective size, the emitted light in the detection window can excite the fluorescence-labeled molecules. The CCD camera placed in the detection window detects those signals of the fluorescence-labeled molecules in order of their size. The signals will be synchronized to the image on the CCD camera, and the analysis software can automatically convert the different fluorescence into DNA information. The analysis results can be output in various forms such as gel electrophoretogram and fluorescence peak plot.
